Announcing pre-orders for Gray!!!!
Confinement called into question so much about how we see ourselves and how we want to be seen by others. I had time to think about my work as a photographer and decided to reach out to women who’d gone “pandemic silver” to photograph women going gray the only way available to me; over Zoom.
Gray, a book about a slice of pandemic history, donates all sales to the non-profits* chosen by the 15 women photographed for this project to do some good.
As Rosie Schaap said in the book’s foreword:
“…the pandemic prompted a gradual but perceptible shift in priorities, a more urgent sense of solidarity with our fellow inhabitants of this fragile world. The gray may stay. The gray may go. But I hope with all my might that the connectedness abides, in our hears and in our deeds.”
